Why Courtyard?
Courtyard Early Learning Center is a private, referral based early educational facility. Our daily focus is providing a safe, loving, educational environment for children.
Courtyard staff take pride in seeing children grow, learn and build healthy relationships with peers and staff in a structured learning environment. Our days are planned to plant and enhance all the skills needed to be lifelong learners. Every aspect of your child's day will be intentional including learning to sit in circle time, social/emotional problem solving, hands-on curriculum based learning activities/lessons and transitioning seamlessly from one activity/area to another safely as early as age one.
Courtyard lays the foundation for early learning in our twos (Creators) class with purposeful daily lessons focused on social and self help skills. Next, our 2/3 (Readers) class builds on those skills with the final potty training successes, a bigger focus on lessons and learning activities, and gives each child more a "big kid" sense to their day! The 3/4 (Adventure) classrooms are designed to introduce independence, structure, and longer stretches of time for lessons to prepare for the final year of Courtyard.
The Explorer's classroom hosts our Kindergarten Readiness Program, also know as KRP. This room is designed for children who are age 4 by August 1st. KRP provides a fun, focused curriculum within a structured day that is very similar to a Kindergarten. The primary goal of the class is to prepare each child to be more than ready for their entrance into elementary school. Children must meet age and behavior criteria to be eligible for KRP. In addition to structured lessons, this class experiences their first "field trips” and many visitors to the center. We provide this classroom for parents that have younger children at Courtyard to allow them one drop off/pick up, and families that would enjoy their child to be in a small classroom setting during their Pre-K year.
Children that enroll in our KRP program get first pick to enroll in our Courtyard Summer Program, which is offered to the summer before your child enters Kindergarten. The Courtyard Summer Program provides a packed daily schedule of activities, over 30 field trips, water play days and so much more.
Families that choose to enroll in our KRP program have less worries about having care for their child during the typical school closings and breaks. Check out our closings on this website to compare. By enrolling in our Courtyard Summer Program, families have care secured for the summer before their child attends Kindergarten, which can be challenging to find.
Courtyard assesses each child (all age groups) twice a year, so the Director and teachers can see what the children and classrooms need as far as lessons, ensuring each child is more than ready for Kindergarten.
Enrollment Opportunties
Courtyard Early Learning Center has openings for ages 1 and older. To receive information regarding enrollment and tuition, submit the form "Request for Enrollment". Parents will be provided a registration form that provides a customized tuition plan for the duration of your enrollment.
Parents that are interested in enrollment are asked to meet with the owner to go over the Courtyard program, learn more about how we prepare the children for Kindergarten, and tour the center.
Children can typically start care 2 weeks after we receive the deposit and registration form.
Past Courtyard Parent - Courtyard’s teachers have been an extension of our family. We always were confident and grateful knowing our girls were receiving the best care. We were thoroughly impressed with the advanced curriculum our youngest daughter received at Courtyard to ready her for Kindergarten. Choosing a daycare for your children can be one of the most important, stressful decisions we make as parents. We are thankful we had Courtyard to choose. - The Cline Family
