In a World where you can be Anything,
be Kind....
We LOVE our Infant, Toddler, Two and PreK Teachers
at Courtyard Early Learning Center
Courtyard Early Learning Center employees around 40 - 45 teachers to staff both centers. There are two main things that will allow a teacher to be successful at Couryard! 1). Attend work as scheduled. and 2). Focus on and PLAY with the kids.
Teachers that often choose to call into work, or constantly ask off are not going likely be successful at Courtyard. We DO give our teachers quite a bit of time off. We start to pay full time Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits when a teacher works on average 36 hours a week, over a 12 week period. We LOVE providing a healthy work - life balance to our teachers. Enjoy your day off each week! Take time off to do what you love! However, when staff are supposed to be at work, they need to be at work.
We also expect our teachers to engage with the children in their care. We ask that you play with them, prepare lesson and activities for them to enjoy, have dance parties, create chalk drawings on the playground. Work to make your classroom a fun place for kiddos each day! Sitting around and playing on your phone, and not paying attention to the children in your care will not create success at Courtyard.
The kids deserve consistent, happy, engaged teachers. And honestly the parents are paying us to do just that.
If you would enjoy this type of environment, and are interested in any of our positions, please apply, hope for an interview with Miss Candace (Director), and be prepared to show us how you shine! We love having new teachers come in and provide our kiddos with a loving, fun and educational day!
Question & Answer:
I am interested in a position, but can't start for a few months. When should I apply?
I would apply for full time permanent positions about 4 weeks prior to you wanting to start. If you are interested in starting in May (for summer only work) or August, I would suggest applying in February or March.
What is the culture and dynamic like at Courtyard?
At Courtyard, we strive to build a team that:
1). Builds loving and supportive bonds with our kiddos. We make them feel safe in their little world.
2). Plays with our kids! Even when our co-teachers choose not to, or maybe are not in a place to do so.
3). Strives to teach them something new every day!
Our teaching staff is only as good as our weakest link. The person that chooses to do the least, chill the most, avoid playing with the kids. Teachers that are here for a paycheck alone (I mean we all want to get paid, but can't we get paid and do a great job???) stand out, and that is the name they are making for themselves. We want teachers that WANT to be here. That are engaged, that are happy, that understand that they are spending precious moments with these kiddos. Which will you be? What name do you want to make for yourself?
You can choose to pick someone and be their partner.....or choose to knock them down further. Which do you choose???
