Courtyard is always hiring to ensure that we have a fresh rotation of new teachers in becoming trained under our more experienced teachers, and to ensure that our longer term teachers are given opportunities to have work life balance.  This means that we are technically over staffed, which is essentially the only way that we can provide our staff time off, and still stay in ratio.

Our teachers will on occasion be offered the chance to take the day off, or leave early. Teachers are NOT required to take this time off (unless their performance has been poor or they just seem exhausted, then we may be a slightly pushy to take some time off and prevent burnout).  However, if teachers choose to take this time off, they just need to be smart about it so they can still maximize their paycheck.

Teachers earn benefits when they consistently work an average of 36 hours per week.  The benefits that are earned are:

• Holiday Pay​

• Paid Time Off (PTO)  hours accumulated towards your PTO balance each paycheck

Most full time jobs require employees to work 40 hours each week to stay employed.  If they do not work 40 hours a week, they must use PTO to get to the 40 hour a week mark.  

​

Courtyard does not require teachers to work 40 hours a week.  However, to earn paid time off pay via holiday pay and PTO pay, teachers MUST work an AVERAGE of 36 hours.  This paid time off can add up to a fair amount of money, so know what you are doing, keep track of what you work, and learn how to maximize your pay at Courtyard.

We want you to be paid well!  Work the hours!  Make the money!!!  It is nice to have the work life balance of not being forced to work 40 hours a week.  However, be smart and work a solid 40 for several weeks from the start, so you can earn those benefits!  :)
